Terms of Use
Last updated: June 3, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Dot, including our website, iOS app, connectors, browser features, and related services.
1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using Dot, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Dot.
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Dot after an update means you accept the updated terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dot. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Dot only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Dot services
Dot is an AI personal assistant for iPhone. Dot may help you draft text, summarize information, use app permissions, run shortcuts, browse websites, connect to third-party services, and perform actions you approve.
Dot is evolving. We may add, remove, suspend, or change features at any time. Some features may depend on Apple services, third-party providers, network availability, app permissions, or connector availability.
4. Accounts, permissions, and connected services
Some features may require you to grant iOS permissions, authorize a connector, sign in to a third-party service, or approve an action. You are responsible for the permissions you grant and for complying with the terms of any third-party services you connect.
You may revoke third-party access through Dot where available or through the third-party provider's settings. If you revoke access, related features may stop working.
5. Browser use and third-party websites
Dot may include browser features that let you visit websites, sign in to accounts, and ask Dot to read or interact with pages you approve. Third-party websites are not controlled by Dot. Their content, availability, security, terms, and privacy practices are their own responsibility.
You should review third-party terms and privacy policies before using their services. Dot is not responsible for third-party websites, apps, content, transactions, or services.
6. AI output and user responsibility
AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it or sending it to others. Dot is not a substitute for professional advice, including legal, medical, financial, or emergency advice.
You are responsible for actions you ask Dot to take, including messages sent, events created, reminders added, browser interactions, purchases, or changes made through connected services.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Dot to:
- Violate any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right.
- Access, collect, or disclose information without authorization.
- Harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or harm another person.
- Generate or distribute malware, spam, scams, or deceptive content.
- Interfere with, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt Dot or its providers.
- Use Dot for high-risk decisions where failure could lead to death, personal injury, property damage, or significant legal or financial harm.
8. User content
You retain ownership of content you provide to Dot. You grant us the rights needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve Dot, including processing your prompts, instructions, connected-service data, browser data, and feedback as described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide content to Dot and to ask Dot to process it.
9. Intellectual property
Dot, the website, app, software, designs, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as these terms allow, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from Dot or its content without permission.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Dot for personal, lawful use in accordance with these terms.
10. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation. We are not required to treat feedback as confidential.
11. Paid features and app stores
If Dot offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, purchases may be processed by Apple or another app store or payment provider. Their payment terms, refund rules, and billing policies may apply in addition to these terms.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. By using Dot, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described there.
13. Copyright concerns
If you believe content available through Dot infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@trydot.ai with enough information for us to review and respond to your request.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Dot at any time if we believe you violated these terms, created risk or liability, or used Dot in a way that may harm Dot, users, third parties, or providers. You may stop using Dot at any time.
15. Disclaimers
Dot is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Dot will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or available for any particular purpose.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dot and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption arising from or related to your use of Dot.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Dot will be limited to the amount you paid us for Dot in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid nothing.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Dot harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Dot, your content, your connected-service activity, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
